This animation has it's lovers, and it's haters, but I stand quite neutral!
Fury from the Deep is considered one of the missing gems from Doctor Who, so whoever was up for the challenge of animating it was in for a tough time.
I think the best part about cutting down animations, is that it's easier to condense scenes down. Sometimes half a scene is relevant to the plot, and the other half is reiterating information the audience knows. Reiteration is important if it's been a week between episodes, but that's not the case in this edit!
It's been cut down to a cool 70 minutes, and retains it's spooky charm, in my opinion! Little less techno-babble for dumbos like me, and a bit more action.
