Why are you cutting down episodes of Doctor Who?
To many fans the idea of cutting down Doctor Who is sacrilegious. I understand these thoughts. Is what I'm doing taking away from the Directors intention? Who am I to say what needs to stay and goes? We already have episodes missing from the archive, and you wanna cut MORE?!
All of these thoughts are totally valid, and I respect them.
I have seen these episodes hundreds of times each, and wanted to watch them in a new light. Maybe I wanted to watch all of Fury From The Deep before bed, but only have an hour to spare? A cutdown was the solution.
I had seen other fan edits in the past, many I've LOVED, and many I didn't. That's because fan edits are a personal experience. What YOU love about a story, others might hate. For me, character moments are everything, and cutting them is a crime. Others, they see it as slowing down the monsters!
I'm sharing my personal edits, for those who want to experience the adventure in a more bite-sized way. A way more approachable to those who watch the New Series, and find the serialized format a bit daunting.
I hope you find some joy in these edits. If not, they're not permanent! The originals are still intact, and available.
These edits are not better, they are just different.
What are the sources of your episodes?
I use the remastered episodes from the blu-ray releases, but they do lose quality when they are compressed to 1GB. But ultimately, they will be higher quality than the standard DVD releases.
Do you use the new CGI? If so, can we have a copy without it?
I use the new CGI in most places for these special editions, because I personally prefer them. Unfortunately, I will not be uploading alternative cuts with the original effects.
I have a fan edit I'd like to share onto this website!
Please let me know the download link, and I'll host it here! Message me via the 'Contact' page
When are you uploading more episodes?
I am only fan editing the episodes that have been remastered on blu-ray, or if I am really impatient, I'll edit one on DVD. I edit at my own pace, so don't expect them to be up straight after the release date! 😂
Your notes on some releases are very detailed, and some very vague or non-existent, why is that?
I started this cutdown project way before the website was put online. I hadn't intended on distributing the episodes until recently, so I don't recall all the cuts I've made for every release. It's a surprise, I guess! Ultimately, I try to focus on The Doctor and the Companions storylines. Side characters get their stories cut down quite a bit.
Most 4 part stories end up being around 50-60 minutes, and most 6 part stories end up being 60-70 minutes. There are outliers that last longer, and shorter.
Are there some episodes you're never going to do?
Most probably, yes. There are some stories I have no interest in editing, because I have no need to re-watch them. Stories like Ghost Light, or Talons of Weng Chiang. I suggest you edit them for yourself, or watch the original release 😊
How do I download the episodes?
- Go to "HOME"
- Click on one of the images of The Doctor (eg: the First Doctor Collection)
- Press the story you'd like to download
- Scroll down to the bottom where it the button says 'Download'
- Press the download button on the link (either Google Drive or MEGA)

Who runs this website?
That's my secret I'll never tell... Mainly for copyright reasons. PLEASE SUPPORT THE OFFICIAL HOME MEDIA RANGE! I have bought all of these releases, and then edited them.
